Take the sailing course you've always promised yourself in the warm waters of the Mediterranean
Setsail ‘Learn to sail’ programme, a 5 day course is designed for a minimum of 2 people sailing the 2 cabin 311 and up to 4 sailing the 3 cabin 331 with the instructor taking a cabin. Should your party be larger say 5 or 6 we would advise taking 2 boats for the training week and a 331 on your second week.
Competent Crew
Become an active crewmember
This is a great ‘hands on’ practical course if you are a beginner or fairly new to sailing, with no formal qualifications, enabling you to become an invaluable crewmember. Experience living on board whilst being taught the basic principles of sailing – helmsmanship, handling the sails, rope work, man overboard, meteorology, general day to day duties, rules of the road, keeping lookout, using a dinghy, as well as fire precautions and personal safety.
On successful completion of the course you will have become, as the name suggests, a competent (and confident) member of the crew and will receive an RYA certificate.
Day Skipper
For aspiring skippers with some yachting experience
The Day Skipper course is intended to teach pilotage, seamanship and boat handling, enabling you to skipper a small cruising yacht safely by day in non tidal waters. To successfully complete the course you must be able to demonstrate sailing ability up to the RYA required standard. Experience required: A knowledge of basic navigation and sailing ability – Competent Crew or similar experience.
Skippering a yacht for the first time can be a daunting yet exhilarating experience. A skipper does much more than navigate, he/she is responsible for the complete safety and well being of both the yacht and crew. Therefore the Day Skipper course is designed to teach you to ‘take charge’ safely and confidently.
On successful completion of the course you will be awarded the RYA Day Skipper practical certificate.

The RYA instructor takes a cabin during your training week
What‘s Included:
• Return flights from Gatwick to Dalaman
• Return transfers to and from the yacht
• 5 days instruction and 7 nights accommodation on board the yacht
• Bedding & shower towels
• RYA Yacht Master cruising instructor on board
• Diesel used
What‘s not Included:
• Any meals or beverages
• RYA Log Book (£10 charge per book)
• Any mooring fees away from the home port
• Regional flight supplements if applicable
• YSP of £100 (2 weekers only)
Successful crew members can choose to sail independently from the instructor on the last day. The learn to sail itinerary follows the flotilla routes on the same departure dates.
ALL INSTRUCTION IS BASED ON A INSTRUCTOR ABOARD YOUR YACHT GIVING YOU PERSONAL ATTENTION WHETHER YOUR PARTY IS JUST FOR 2, 3 OR 4.
